A Visit from St. Nicholas

Year 4 have been working very hard to rehearse and perform the poem to fill us all with Christmas cheer! We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoy performing it.

Wishing you all a very happy Night Before Christmas.

Celebrating our brilliantly diverse school!

Our Year 5 and 6 children have been working very hard with Make Some Noise and Mrs Brian to create an ipad orchestra. As part of the process, over this half term they have not only been learning how to play strings, keyboards and guitars using the ipads but they have also written their very own songs.

The children used diversity as their theme to write songs from the seeds of their own ideas. They performed the songs to the school and made us all beam with pride. We hope you enjoy their lyrics as much as we all did. A super showcase of how important British Values are to everyone in our school.

Breakfast Club!

Our first 2 weeks of Breakfast Club have been very successful. Children have tried new foods as well as making new friends. Our Breakfast Club is available From 7:30 daily with a cost of £4 per session (siblings £3). More info available at the office. 🙂 Mrs Scragg and Miss Douglas have enjoyed spending quality time with everyone at Breakfast Club 🙂

Adjectives!

This week Year 1 have been using their understanding of adjectives to describe a setting. We used our super senses to help us think of some fantastic adjectives:

We used our ears to hear the “swishing” waves.

We used our hands to touch the “freezing” water and the “hard, brown” wood.

We used our nose to smell the “horrible, fishy” sea.

We used our mouth to taste the “salty” water.

We used our eyes to see the “spooky” ship on the “blue” sea.

Special Gentlemans morning in KS1!

Year one and Two had a lovely day on Friday celebrating Father’s Day with their special gentleman. Dads, grandads and uncles all enjoyed spending time with their little ones joining in on different Father’s Day activities throughout the morning. 🙂
